“Look at all the shrub growth that we’ve never frolicked in!”
— Michael, on discovering that the fenced-in chunk of land behind the studio is actually fair game. Winterwork.

Here, now — except it’s winter. Spent last night playing in the snow. Plan to do much of the same today.
Wonderful.
Oh, hey — I never posted this video I made for the last MNKINO. The theme was ON / OFF, and the video was shot at Summerwork.
If you haven’t heard, this month (September 22) is Transparency. Also, a few updates to the MNKINO website coming soon…
Well, I’m off to art camp. I’m in Oregon, WI for a week, to participate in Summerwork for my fifth consecutive year.
The above photo is from last year, where my crowning achievement was to dig a hole in the field, and then invite other participants out to the hole to chat. The whole thing culminated in an improvised ritual involving a wheelbarrow full of apples, and the hole was filled up by the end. I wonder what’ll happen this year?
Also, stay tuned — I’m thinking about doing a Praxis at the West Bank Social Center about Summerwork.
