Another great stop-animated graffiti/mural explosion from Blu. This one, called “Big Bang, Big Boom,” follows the evolution (and eventual annihilation) of life on Earth. Kind of reminds me of that old Todd McFarlane / Kevin Altieri -directed music video “Do the Evolution.”

“The streetwise citizens of Charlotte Street have taken to putting up signs in the South Bronx for visiting politicians. Here, Ronald Reagan says a few words with ‘decay’ staring him in the face. Other signs read ‘broken promises.’ The people of the urban ruin plan a counter-convention to the Democratic one 8/11 to emphasize the fact that many people visit the site but none do anything to improve conditions here.”

Pay 30 Euros to have a message of your choice spray-painted on the Israel/Palestine wall.

From the FAQs:
Where does the money go?
Part of your money stays in Holland, to cover the (minimal) costs of setting up and running ‘Sendamessage’. The bulk of the money will go to the Palestinian NGO’s (independent foundations) doing the work. They will fund small social, cultural and educational projects with the money earned (from buying bicycles to fixing the roof)

Yikes, not really sure what to say about this one. Even if the money really does go to a “good cause,” this project still makes my stomach turn.
